Vets Championship - Rules
DATE: Sunday/Monday 19/20 April to Friday 24 April 2009

1 |
Entrants must be aged 40+. |

2 |
The Committee will decide on when the first round of the
competition will e played when all entries have been received, therefore the
first round will be played on either Sunday or Monday. Please note that in the event we run a
Plate competition the first round will be played on Tuesday 21 April. |

The entry fee of £5.00 and form must be returned
to the Organiser, Kathryn Cordell by Friday 27 March LATEST. Late entries will not be accepted. (NB
The entry fee is non refundable). |

ALL entrants who PLAY in the competition will be entered into a free
draw to win a cash prize of £25. |

5 |
Committee members will notify times of the first round
to Team Captains or the entrants direct. |

6 |
Players should report to the Organisers at least 15 minutes before their scheduled playing
time. |

7 |
Players could be scratched if not available at the
scheduled time of play. |
|
8 |
A Plate Tournament will take place for the first round
losers at the discretion of the Organisers. |
|
9 |
The rules of the York and District Ladies Squash League
will apply for the duration of the Tournament. |
|
10 |
All players will be expected to help mark other
entrant’s matches. |

11 |
Minimum number of
entries to be received for the competition to go ahead is 16.
In the event the competition is cancelled the entry fee will be
refunded. |

DIVISION 1 & 2
PLAYERS PLEASE NOTE: If you are a seeded player you will be expected to be
available to play every night of the competition.
It is expected that the competition will run every evening from
Sunday/Monday until Friday (except Thursday) but, depending on the number of
entrants, it is possible that seeded players will not be required to play
until Monday/Tuesday. |
