Open Championship - Rules

1 |
The Committee will decide on when the first round of the
competition will e played when all entries have been received, therefore the
first round will be played on either Sunday or Monday. Please note that in the event we run a
Plate competition the first round will be played on Tuesday 19
February. |

The entry fee of £5.00 and form must be returned to
the Organiser, Kathryn Cordell by Friday
16 January LATEST. Late entries
will not be accepted. (NB The entry fee is non refundable). |

3 |
ALL entrants who PLAY in the competition will be entered into a free
draw to win a cash prize of £25. |

4 |
Committee members will notify times of the first round
to Team Captains or the entrants direct. |
|
5 |
Players should report to the Organisers at least 15 minutes before their scheduled playing
time. |

6 |
Players could be scratched if not available at the
scheduled time of play. |
|
7 |
A Plate Tournament will take place for the first round
losers at the discretion of the Organisers. |
|
8 |
The rules of the York and District Ladies Squash League
will apply for the duration of the Tournament. |

9 |
All players will be expected to help mark other
entrant’s matches. |

10 |
Minimum number of
entries to be received for the competition to go ahead is 16.
In the event the competition is cancelled the entry fee will be
refunded. |

DIVISION 1 & 2
PLAYERS PLEASE NOTE: If you are a seeded player you will be expected to be
available to play every night of the competition.
It is expected that the competition will run every evening from Monday
until Friday but, depending on the number of entrants, it is possible that
seeded players will not be required to play until Tuesday. |
