York Open 2012
Dunnington Sports & Social Club
6th February to 10th February
Its that time again, when the ladies of York & District battle it out to see who is the best of the best. All spectators of squash and none squash background are welcome, matches will start from 6.30pm every evening, with the Semi on Thursday and the Grand Final on Friday 10th February 2012.
The draw has now been completed and with a total of 23 entries, all the seeds are through to the 2nd round with a bye, the order of play for Monday the 6th February can be found below, together with the time of the courts for Tuesday. While we appreciate lots of people do work, we need to try and get as early a start as possible, especially on Tuesday, when both the plate and open will be playing. If you have any problems viewing the order of play, please contact the webmaster using the link on the home page, or any member of the committee.

Thank you to all players and spectators for your contributions this week, it has been a fantastic week with some brilliant squash. Tonight was the final of the plate and the open. The plate was between Sarah England of David Lloyd and Claire Pethullis of Dunnington, it was a good final and some lovely squash to watch, Claire just had the better of Sarah tonight and won in straight games. The final was between Louise Cotter of York Ladies and Natalie Cain of David Lloyd.some of the best squash we at York & District have seen in a long time, the rallies were long and the battle between the two ladies was a hard one. Louise tried everything to stay in the match, but tonight Natalie had the edge and won the York Open 3-1.
